An equal weld tee divides or combines flow in an ASTM-size stainless gas line while keeping the three connection sizes the same. Confirm tube outside diameter, wall and the center-to-end dimension A alongside the required internal surface finish.
Technical parameters
| Geometry | Equal tee; three matching nominal branches |
|---|---|
| Dimensional system | ASTM fractional sizes, 1/4–6 in in the catalog |
| Example size | 1/2 in OD tube; wall 0.039 or 0.049 in |
| Center-to-end A | 47.6 mm for the 1/2 in catalog example |
| Material / finish | 316L EP configuration to be specified for the order |
| Connection | Weld ends; match mating tube OD and wall |
Catalog dimensions are selection references. Confirm the exact grade, finish, geometry and inspection documents against the approved order drawing.
Application and selection
Use this fitting for clean distribution branches where permanent welded joints are part of the piping plan. The equal-branch geometry differs from a reducing tee; specify a reducing fitting separately if branch and run sizes differ.
